    The strips on the top are so the shingles don't stick together before being installed. Same as the strip in the middle. They don't seal anything. The sure nail technology is great, with its 130 mile wind warranty. Gaf has the same warranty without the sure nail technology. It's a choose of colors. Imo.

    Those plastic strips are not seal lines, they are exactly the opposite. They are put there to make sure that the shingles don't seal together when they are in the packaging. Unbelievable that someone would put out a video like this without having a clue of what they are talking about.

    He is correct those seals are to seal when installing you remove the strip so that it would seal
