Behringer DeepMind 12 – Deeper Vol 2 – Patches 91 to 128 –

Buy Now –

Final Video and I have to say, this is some of my finest Sound Design work…It’s a simple Synth in terms of the basic architecture, but the variety of Sounds i’ve been able to pull out has blown me away, thanks to the great Modulation and FX.

Of course, you can be the judge of it, but I always try to make sounds that can be used. Granted, I’ve gone a bit more complicated with Vol 2, but I make sure I don’t include filler sounds…hence why every single patch can heard before purchase.

At 10:20 in the video the patch sounds like an ARP Odyssey. That caught my attention

    Very inspiring set of patches!

And a nice tribute to William Orbit/Barber, with those soft strings near the end.

I agree with your view of the DeepMind. It's a bit of a slow-burner. The factory patches are (ahem) a bit of a mixed bag, and the simplicity of the oscillators doesn't give that instant satisfaction a set of VCOs would, which I think have scared a lot of people off.

But oh man if we put in the time..! There seem to be almost no limit to what can be achieved with the modulation and effects engines! The oscillators – although simple – produce a rich set of tones and the filter(s) have a great sound. It's a synth that has continued to grow and impress me continuously for the 12 months I've had it – and it doesn't seem to ever stop.
