Chateau d’Or mega-mansion designed to look like an 18th century French Palace
The Chateau d’Or, a most extravagant and grotesque example of over-the-top architecture, has had its price drastically reduced, from a high of $40M, to just $25M. The 26,000-square-foot mansion, built in a style better suited to Disneyland than Bel Air, boasts 15 bedrooms, 16.5 bathrooms, “fountains, verandas, European-style grottos, swimming pool, spa, and a cupola-covered pavilion leading to a lighted tennis court.” Most of all though, it houses some of the cheapest-looking French-inspired interiors ever made, highlighted (or, rather, lowlighted) by a towering, clunky fireplace and a cartoon-worthy master suite!

"Over-the-top" Architecture??  Like THAT'S a style.  And this is from a Channel that calls itself Architecture.  Amazingly bad.  But true.  And the music is pretty too.

Trump would be right at home here. Seriously. Even if you actually like that tiny little fucker you'd have to admit that this is totally up his alley.

All furnished and ready to live in. Decorated in European ‘Rococco’ architectural style. Very beautiful residence.

Meanwhile, half of the American population qualifies as poor or low income, and over 40 million Americans live below the poverty line, child poverty reached the second highest relative poverty rates in the developed world. So, having this much wealth in these absolutely corrupt times, is really something to be proud of…

I like it. Not a place I could live in but certainly a beautiful estate for an aristocrat or a billionaire. It's clearly built for entertaining as their is little privacy. But I think your title is a bit hateful, you should consider revising it to a more polite and dignified title. It makes the publisher liok petty and small.

HaHa. As an architect in northern California, I have to laugh at this monstrosity. They must have had an army of designers, contractors, consultants who all simply took them to the bank! Do nouveau riche people understand that quality is better than quantity? That place has styrofoam molding!!!! Same as on a strip mall!
