DIY Modern Outdoor Bench | Modern Builds | EP. 30

Today I’m building a set of modern outdoor benches using an awesome 2×4 box joint configuration. These benches were originally designed by DIY Candy, and because they had everything in a written article, I thought a video would be cool too. Be sure to
check out their blog in the link below.

This is an awesome project and one that I'm sure to build. One question how many 2×4's in total did you use? It's easy to figure out, but I figured once you answered you could add it to your materials list on your site. Cheers

Mine is in the making. Hope it turns out as nice as yours!
And you're right, never though I'd use this much glue in 1 project.

EDIT: my assembly part is done, needs sanding and finishing now. I noticed some spacing between the boards and not sure how to fill those. Any one who has suggestions?

OK, I made one – use cauls to keep your boards even during glue up. If not, you will need a good belt sander and 60 grit belts (plural) for leveling. You will be sanding for a day at least.

Nice work. I will be making one about this size for my back patio. Just got my new table saw in. I wander how it would look if you burnt every other 2×4?

Great video! Is there any way to link two of these together? For example, having the ends of two benches be held up by one leg?

This psoriasis treatment “wuno great plan” (Google it) worked within couple days, 90% clear up my partner redness, and flakiness under his eye, and around his eye, and nose. Right after 5 days it was totally eliminated. In order to avoid it from returning, he still applies the treatment a couple of times everyday.

Awesome bench. I have some reclaimed redwood 2×4's I'm going to use for this. Also I think I'm going to plane them all first before assembly to cut down on sanding and filling.

If you just have a mitre saw is it ok to use that to slim down the 2x4s? Or is that unsafe? Don't have a table saw!

Thanks Mike, if you haven't got a table saw what would you recommend in regards to squaring of the wood. Or could you still make it with the rounded edges?
