How to Install Exterior Shutters

Learn how to install exterior shutters with this how-to video from Lowe’s. An easy way to enhance your curb appeal is by installing shutters on your home.

Choosing the right shutters for your home is an important first step. Black raised panel vinyl shutters offer a simple, stylish look for most homes. Make sure you choose the right size shutters for your windows. Generally, shutters should match the height of the window or door you are embellishing.

Hold the shutter next to the window in the spot that looks best and push a pencil through the holes to mark where to position your screws. Use the pencil marks on your house as a guide for drilling pilot holes for your screws. Then use a drill to secure the shutter to your house with screws.

Enjoy the new look of your home, thanks to this easy DIY shutters project from Lowe’s.

Why bother putting shutters on, if you are going to put fake ones???
A quick google search gives you real authentic shutters, not plastic junks, like vixenhill, com

I was looking for info on how to attach some real, working shutters. You should rename this infomercial to more accurately reflect what it is, which is NOT how to hang working shutters.
