    If you use a heat gun, the vinyl tile will come off a lot easier.

    Have a lot of work ahead of you in this bathroom I am doing same thing in my house. Not quite as bad as your but similar scenario with water leakage and having to replace almost everything.

    I just pulled the tile out of my old bath and who the hell puts drywall in a shower/ bath in closure but Ya I had the same. Thanks for sharing.

    Good job but poor kids you mentioned kids did not tell you about tile falling sorry but sounds like two forms of neglect one for children being showered in such conditions second landlord neglect does your wife or you not clean the bathroom for your children or help them stop blaming your kids !!!!!!

    Use a torch for those vinyl tiles…They come right up…heat them to right before they burst into flames Use a real scrapper too…When demoing easy tile walls like those…You bust a path across the middle and grab the whole section, wiggle it till it comes loose…Ours are almost always wire back inch and a half thick mud walls…

    Man Your lucky when I removed my bath tub(all types of insects were living behind it) come out like I opened a Pandora box , never have I run out of a room so fast XD

    and for everyone judging..his tub is 40 years old..its going to look that way. he's remodeling the bathroom for his kids so clearly he cares. older houses are not always pretty..therefore the whole remodel..
