Might be some of the best looking 2x4s I've ever seen! Such a cool design, the sapele absolutely works

Very nice man. I’ve done quite a few “rustic” style benches with studs, stains and shou sugi ban finishes. People ask “wow, what wood is that?”. Now everything has to be walnut! 😀

Not really a fan of this design. Of course, you can't please everyone. Nonetheless, great video and execution.

Nice table! I took your recommendation a while back on the wool lube. It took a bit of effort to get it here in Australia, but it is really good stuff and worth the effort. I've lost count of how many great tips I've gained from your videos. Thanks for making the effort to make such high quality videos (and furniture).

Simple and elegant. The design lets the wood speak for itself. Vertical grain douglas fir and cherry also go well together. Both darken with age. I used Waterlox, finished with paste wax on a headboard I made using these two species. Thanks for your commitment to the woodworking community.

Very nice, Jon~! I would not have imagined Sapele & Doug Fir combined in a project, but your design really works and creates an interesting contrast. The home-made clips for holding down the top add a great touch. Excellent job, as usual~! 🙂
