It's the American Dream, the white picket fence and all that! I miss New England a lot but Brittany, France is a fun substitute — the people out there are very "Yankee," too. Egad, I love gardens and I hate gardening! Too much work! I think linguini with clam sauce is just about perfection. What a day! Good for you for showing off a little, sez I!!!!

@jimbobubbadj It takes years of doing but now its mostly maintanence….the plants take over some years I give truckloads of plants away because they multiple like crazy. If I could be a farmer I would. My grandfather was a farmer. Used to be hundreds of farms in town…now there is only 2-3.

@slobomotion I make a great clam sauce red and white. As for gardenening if you love it it ….it is not work at all….puts you in touch with creation right quick.

@33point3 My 6 year old soon to be 7 is always out there eating. I can still remember my Grandfather kidding me that I was worse than the birds. I used to love his berry patch.

@jonah70757 Your yard reminds me of my aunts yard. My uncle passed away suddenly 10 months ago, at the age of 87. His father was a farmer and my uncle was a very hard worker right up until the very end. He had that old school, hard work ethic, built into him from a very yearly age. People call his yard the showplace, he was always improving it. Now I have taken over trying to keep it looking as good as he kept it, so I can appreciate the work you and he have done. Your yard looks fantastic.

@jonah70757 My mother loves to do landscaping and planting also. Perhaps if either of us pass through CT, we could take some extra plants off of your hands, LOL.
