Making waves – this new office fit-out for the Mediterraean Shipping Company reflects its core business.

Architect Robert Weir of Weir Walker Architecture talks about the modern office fit-out in the new Anderson Lloyd House building in Christchurch.

Sinuous curves define the public spaces in the new Mediterranean Shipping Company offices. Architect Robert Weir says the curved elements reference the nature of the company’s business. Similarly, the ribbed powdercoated aluminium panels behind the reception desk are reminiscent of shipping containers. Staff retention was a key factor in the design. Staff breakout areas include a café-style kitchen and lounge area. Large terrace.
