Remodeling My RV Interior Part One – My Plans

See blog post –

Our Keystone Cougar fifth wheel is now four years old and the interior is starting to show some wear.
We live full time in our rig and the original furnishings and carpet is pretty well thrashed.

I’ve decide this summer to do some renos to the interior. Here is a video where I go over my plans.

This video is Part One – My Plans. I’ll continue to add videos and blog posts to this series as I go.

We replaced our chairs and ditched the uncomfortable sofa as well. The biggest problem is finding a chair that will fit in that space when the slide draws in.

Hi Ray… nice video series…. looking forward to it.

But I am here for the beagle you know!

Question… why do slides flooring have to be carpeted?

Some great ideas!  Looking forward to seeing your improvements, it seems all newer rv's really aren't built very well, I got my own upgrades in store as well.

I like your ideas on the remodeling ideas you have. I know generally there are certain weight calibrated on the axels. Would you be afraid of adding too much weight or will you be using light wood for your remodel. Every single time i do something myself i wonder how much weight is in my 5th wheel right now 😃. Also i need some advise. My 5th wheel is parked in my back yard right now and after i straightened it up to extend my awning the slideout is shaking a little bit during extending but good retracting. Do you ever adjust the level to your slideout with the bolts underneath? Any advise to stop the shaking would be good. Thank you.

I was wondering about your remodeling and thoughts of exterior illumination. Have you thought about led strip lighting under your awning or maybe for your entry steps?

What is the brand of vinyl flooring you are looking at? We have used Allure vinyl in our house, and are thinking about doing that in our RV.

The Beagle doesn't give a rats azz what you do lol.  Our Wildcat is hitting a year old and we use it fairly often and I can tell already that the furniture is going to be absolute junk in no time.  I am a fairly big guy and I put a beating on those recliners.
