Satsuki Azalea bonsai Tree

Satsuki Azalea Bonsai Tree
My satsuki azalea bonsai tree is in full bloom, This Satsuki Azalea tree was repotted few weeks ago. I added chicken pallets between layers of bonsai soil. Unwittingly I started to prune it after repotting and then stopped when I realised it was too early. The Azalea bonsai trees should be pruned after it has finished flowering.

On the top right hand of the video I have added links to Satsuki Azalea bonsai care and also Satsuki Azalea bonsai lectures, be sure to watch these videos as well as they are the complete Azalea care and azalea maintenance guides.

Don't worry sometimes we all get a little overzealous when wanting to prune, hopefully that side buds out next season.

Incredible. Does this tree over winter well? I know in the ground the cold is ok. But as bonsai does it require any special care?

I repotted my rhododendron today, the roots were unbelievably fine on it, i had to shear them off to fit it into the pot, but i a sure it will recover quickly! Your tree looks beautiful, those flowers are magnificent!

Very nice flower cover. I am sure that there are many of us that fall into the trap of pruning before flowering. I have to tell myself that I am only making the tree more hardy.
