Make sure that you know the lighting at your venue! ESPECIALLY if you are having an outdoor wedding! While all venues should have this aspect covered, if you want to change or add lighting, it is good to be informed and aware.
2. Car Plan
This was something I was completely unprepared for! Who will bring what? How many cars will be at the venue? Is there limited parking?! These are all things that you need to keep in mind when planning for the day of!
3. Caterer Timeline
Again, something I was completely clueless about! I never knew that caterer’s might leave before the whole event is over, but after all it does make sense for them to leave if the dinner portion of the wedding.
4. Do Your Centerpieces Make Sense?
Like I said in the video, hear me out on this one! If you are having a daytime wedding, there is no need for candles. The same goes for a nighttime wedding and not having any candles as your centerpiece. Just always make sure you THINK about your centerpieces are more than just there to look pretty, but to also serve a purpose.
5. What will your Officiant Say?!
Man oh man was I clueless on this one! I am so glad that I got to 100% make up the script, but at the same time, it was frustrating to come up with one from complete scratch! Hopefully your officiant will have their own script you can modify, but if not, you need to be prepared!
6. Wedding Signage
Finally something I was kind of prepared for!!! The wedding signage! Just make sure you have signage that states very obvious wedding events (timeline, welcome sign so people know where they’re going, etc) so you have informed guests!
